Before I applied a name to this healing I had been practicing very successfully and powerfully in this way with my clients and myself.  I see Shamanic Healing as a combination of visualisation, with one or more of the following:- sensing, feeling, knowing, clairaudience, clairvoyance and much more. The process will be different with each individual.  One way I see this, is as a way of defusing or eliminating an emotional charge or charges.  Sweeping away, conditioning and patterns that do not serve any useful purpose. These may have been around for the whole of the individual’s lifetime, a part of it or maybe carried in from a previous lifetime/s.  Whatever the case is, this process can have swift and dramatic resolutions to problems of all kinds that are being suffered in the now.  All that is required is the desire to sort out the problem whatever the original cause may have been.  The individual concerned will know when they are ready for this and also know that this is the right time and I am the right person to help.  Once all that is in place we will already be half way there.

Most shamans understand that illness can be a great teacher. In fact it is the shaman’s own illnesses and/or difficult times that have created an open and compassionate heart. It is this compassionate heart that allows the shaman to heal. A shaman knows how to be with you when you are suffering because of his or her own times of suffering. Therefore a shaman will not assume that curing your illness is the best thing.

The shaman puts out a call to the healing forces in the universe. It is a call that strongly says 'heal for this client's highest good.' This healing then may address something emotional, it may address something physical, but it is always intended to give you more spiritual power.
